DIXIE CUP CHALLENGE

All EWGA Members of the Carolinas and Heart of the South “sections” are invited to attend the “2010 Dixie Cup Challenge” to be held at Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure.  Lake Lure is located in the Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina approximately 35 miles southeast of Asheville.

Lake Lure was the site of the 2009 Dixie Cup Challenge.  Ask your golfing friends who have attended how much fun this event is.  If you are new to attending this event and want to see the true resort Lake Lure is and its many activities, please visit their website www.lakelure.com.

The total cost for the weekend is $395/person, based on (4) people in a villa.  This includes two nights lodging, buffet dinner Friday and Saturday, buffet breakfast Saturday and Sunday, 3 rounds of golf with cart (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), bag tag, all taxes, and a registration fee.  Optional replay golf is $28 per round.  If you wish to arrive on Thursday, the cost for a villa is $245.85 for the night/4 people ($61.46 per person).  Competition format is Four-ball Match play.

Participation and accommodations are limited to 140 players, Only EWGA members will be allowed to sign up first.  Seventy slots will be given to each “section”.  Once all slots have been filled by EWGA members then registration will open up to guests. (EWGA member is defined:  having an established EWGA member number and dues current through the date of the Dixie Cup Challenge).

Sign-ups are open now.  You will be receiving a separate e-mail from zoomerang.com to register.

You will be notified within 1 week if your application is accepted.  At that point you will be emailed the deposit requirements.

Please check your calendar to ensure you are available to attend this event.

This event will be bigger and better than the 2009 Event.  We are also in contract negotiations to get those Piedmont Chicks back for another magnificent performance.
