Grab your clubs and head on out to Williamsburg.  This will be a joint outing with the EWGA Richmond Chapter.  Come make some new friends or build on those relationships that got started at Ford's Colony!  This is also the 5th Tidewater Player's Tour golf event for this year.  This event is offering a HUGE savings from the regular rate.  It would almost
be a sin to let this one get away!

See you at the course!!!

GREAT NEWS!  IT’S NOW OFFICIAL

The Duramed FUTURES Tour returns for the third year to Richmond Country Club!

Titled the Greater Richmond Golf Classic, this is now the only professional golf tournament in Richmond and will be held, August 13-15, with activities throughout the week of August 9, and with a total tournament purse of $100,000.  This year 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.  The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency with a major presence in greater Richmond, whose mission is “Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.”

Having the tournament here again is a real plus for women’s golf in the greater Richmond area.  The Duramed FUTURES Tour is the LPGA’s developmental tour which enters its 30th competitive season in 2010.  The Tour’s mission is to prepare the world’s best young women professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA Tour.  The top 10 money winners each season earn automatic memberships on the LPGA tour for the following season.

Committees are already forming with Richmond Country Club’s PGA Professional, Matthew Schulze, as Tournament Director and EWGA member, Toni Cleveland, one of three co-chairs of the event.  Watch your mail and our e-mail communications for regular updates on exciting tournament plans.
